The academic year commences in the second week of June. The first term continues upto Dasara. Students and teachers are given mid term break for Dasara enabling them to celebrate the festivals with their familes. The second term break for Sankranthi and extends upto mid April when the school closes for the summer vacation.
Students are guided to develop their skills in traditional arts and crafts. Separate rooms and qualified full time teachers are available exclusively for imparting training in hobby and recreational activities such as drawing, painting, embroidery and woodcraft. Further, they learn performing arts such as classical dance, classical singing and instrumental music as co curricular subjects.
It gives a glimpse of the activities planned for the year and is prepared well in advance. A copy of it is issued to all parents. Most events presented in the calender are strictly followed unless forced by circumstances to modify.
The appointment of new student offices bearers such as School Captain, House Captain and prefects is done on 15th July. Parents are invited to attend. No separate invitation will be sent from the school.
All activities of the school are communicated to the patrons, parents and well wishers through the WINFIELD Gazette, a half-yearly publication of the school.
Parents Teachers and Management Meeting is an annual feature conducted on the last working day of the first term. It is notified in the Calendar of Events.
Since most of the parents are from out station, they are welcome to meet the Principal and teachers on any working day of the school to enquire about the academic progress and general well being of their ward on mutual convenience.

The artistically designed scholastic centre with its spacious corridors, well ventilated and fully furnished class rooms, laboratories, library, hobby rooms and staff rooms intersperced with display boards provides an inspirational ambience for academic work.
We will be organising talks by eminent people from various fields to apprise students about various career options besides the regular courses. Also, we are associate with Indian Environmental Society, New Delhi to help students to their bright future.

As a part of General Studies, every student is required to put in 30 hours of Social Service from June 15th to February 28th of Every Year.
